I’ve just got back from Cape Verde where I was taking photos and making videos for Overboard, who manufacture waterproof bags. It was a working holiday… a mixture of photography, videos, kitesurfing and hanging out. We found some excellent locations to shot including overlooking Punta Preta, the famous right hander on the west coast of the island. It was pumping the whole week we were there, with waves up to 20 foot faces. I plucked up the courage to surf and kite it, although it was probably the most extreme spot I had tackled so far. With offshore winds, waves breaking over rocks (only a few feet deep) and no rescue for about 3 miles round the south side of the island. It certainly got my adrenalin pumping. I took some time out and otg some shots of the locals tearing it up (and making it look really easy!)….there’s one of me in there too!
